by Katie Whitehead, Director, The Preschool at Christ the King

One of my favorite things about being a part of The Preschool at Christ the King is experiencing first-hand how God brought each and every teacher to be a part of this amazing program.

I met Ruth Cagle through her sweet daughter Charlotte years ago when I first started working in children’s ministry. Three-year old Charlotte was the most animated little girl with a quiet theatrical presence and engaging personality. She loved to tell stories but you had to listen carefully because she wasn’t going to repeat it. I adored her! Ruth and her husband, Steve, led our Wee Worship program on Sundays. With three young children of their own, watching Steve and Ruth lead this precious worship service for toddlers year after year was an encouraging reminder of the faithfulness of God’s servants to use their gifts for his glory. And today, watching Ruth bring her patience and love for the Lord to the classroom is a blessing and an answer to prayer. It is no wonder the children absolutely love her!

Here is some insight into who Ruth is and why she is such an amazing teacher and a blessing to have on our team!
